The Parable of the Mustard Seed

This term in 3K we have been learning RE. We have been studying all about Christians! As a class we looked at some bible stories. We have been looking at the parable of the mustard seed. This is a little bit about the parable: basically its about when you plant a seed it gets bigger. So if you start with something small it always get bigger like a seed when it grows. This is how the parable goes:
"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches"

After that we made a bookmark and put cress seeds in and laminated them so the seeds wouldn’t fall out. It was such good fun and we were learning about peoples religions too.

The Egyptians

Welcome to our blog. Did you know that year 3 have been learning about Egyptians and that Egypt is in Africa. Also it has the longest river which is called the river Nile.

The story of ancient Egypt has survived for thousands of years. Egypt was one of the greatest civilizations of the past. The monuments and tombs of their Pharaohs continue to stand intact today, some 4,000 years later!

Recycling to help save the Environment

In Class this term we have been learning how to recycle to help to save the environment.
We spent the whole day in the creative arts room where we watched a video called 'Wastebusters'.

We now know our 3 R's
Reduce
Reuse
Recycle.
