We have been practising very hard this Christmas with our singing. We sang Christmas Carols at the School Christmas Fayre. We had lots of parents watching us. There were lots of things to buy at the Fayre.
Also this term we went to the Redhouse Restaurant where we sang Christmas Carols for everyone that came into the restaurant. We were given lunch at the restaurant.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Class 5S!

Victorians
In Year 4 we are learning about the Victorians, in particular the life of a poor working Victorian Child. We have been reading non fiction books and studied historical sources of evidence, which show the poor working conditions within a workhouse, factory and coal mine. We have used these sources of evidence to help us with our creative writing.
Year 4 have also taken part in a drama day run by Redbridge Drama Centre. We imagined that we were poor Victorian Children working in the workhouse. This experience also helped us to write a diary.
We have been reading and studying Oliver Twist which we have based our school production on 'Olivia'.
Here we are at our Drama Day:
